One of Aidan's favorite Thanksgiving books is Turkey Trouble. It is about a turkey who lives on a farm and is afraid he is going to be eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. He tries to dress up as all the other farm animals as a disguise. At the end of the book, Turkey has his best idea yet. Pizza! He makes pizza from the veggies in the garden (not sure where they live still having veggies at the end of November!), and shows up at the farmer's door as a pizza delivery person. He is spared one more year. When I found this shirt at Kohls, had to get it for Aidan! He loved it and wore it proudly on Thanksgiving Day! Eat pizza! :)

Saturday was the anniversary party. It didn't get out of the 20s all day and it was very windy. Fortunately we didn't have to spend much time outside. Mer coordinated the whole event, we were responsible for the cake, Nellie handled decorations and pics, Carla made the food, and Mer, Ashley and Bill put it all together and made it happen. Think it turned out well!
I baked the cake layers at home and brought them up frozen, did base coats of frosting on Friday, and thought if I gave myself 2 hours before the event on Saturday I would be fine. At 12:00, I realized just how short 2 hours are!!! Fortunately, nana and poppop showed up at that time, so I had a babysitter and someone to help me finish up. Andy was a tremendous help too! Thank goodness!!!

Aidan was thrilled to get to see Creston and Mackie again. They had a ball playing. First time they had seen each other in probably 2 years! Good to see them!
The happy couple! ;)
Me and my sweetie!

There was a game room downstairs, so Aidan had to check all of it out. Shooting pool with dada.
Then on to ping pong with dada and Eddie. Not a good sign that they are all looking up! Ball isn't supposed to be up there!
Aidan had a good time, but was worn completely out by the time it was all over!
