Myrtle Beach

In early November, I had to go to a conference for work in Myrtle Beach.  Poor me, right?  :)  It was on a Thurs and Fri, so Andy took off work so all three of us could go together.  I was tied up in the conference all day, but we were still able to have a really good time when I got out.  Andy and Aidan were able to do lots of fun stuff during the day too (putt-putt, Margaritaville, Bass Pro).

We went to the Ripley's aquarium.  We had been to the one in Gatlinburg several years back before Aidan was born, and really weren't all that impressed for the price.  But thought we would give it another shot here since Aidan loves aquariums.  It was over priced, but we still had a good time and enjoyed it.  Aidan really liked it.

Aidan always likes the rainbow colored fish.
They had just started their festival of trees (one for each state), so we had to get a pick of the NC one.  And of course, had to get the side with the wolf!  ;)
Going through the big tank on the conveyor belt was cool.  The fish were all around us.
Love sea turtles, so seeing one this big was great!  Her name is Gabby.  Aidan talked about her for days afterwards!

This was some type of shark (or something similar) that had a saw blade for a nose.  This was one of Aidan's favorites.

I didn't get pics of everything just because it was such a short trip and I wasn't with Andy and Aidan most of the time.  We also took Aidan to Build a Bear and he got a German Shepherd dog and named him Major.  Even got some Star Wars clothes for him.  Found these pics on the other camera!  Yea!

Warming his heart

This girl was awesome!  She was so good with Aidan, and truly made this an even more memorable experience for him.  Getting just the right amount of stuffing.

Time for his bath

Picking out his clothes and getting him dressed.  He ended up with two sets of clothes.  One Star Wars and one military.

It was pretty windy the first day, but was beautiful the afternoon of the second day.  We were able to walk out on the beach a little ways and picked up a few shells.
We wanted to enjoy the whole trip, so we took our time going home.  Did some shopping at the outlets before heading out, and then stopped in Calabash to get seafood for supper.  Delicious!  So glad we took our time!

At the outlets

At the Christmas store at Calabash.  Could have spent so much time in there!!!

Unfortunately, now all we hear is "when can we go back to Myrtle Beach?"  Literally, at least once per week he is asking.  Not in passing, but a real question needing a real answer....like an actual date.  :)
