Christmas Tree Lighting

Fortunately, this year Aidan was not sick and we were able to go to the Christmas tree lighting downtown. We drive by the tree twice a day, and Aidan was so excited about seeing it lit up, he could hardly wait. The "event" lasted from 6 to 8:30 but I couldn't take off work, so we really only got to see the actual lighting. We ate dinner at one of the restaurants and it was really good! Aidan enjoyed it too which says a lot!!!! After dinner, we let him see the firetruck and sit on it with Dada. He loves firemen, firetrucks, and anything to do with firetrucks! He was thrilled! We got to see Santa ride by, and again, Aidan was excited but only because there was a good distance between us and Santa! When they finally lit the tree, Aidan had the biggest smile on his face, and I was just about in tears! He was so looking forward to it, and it made his day to actually count down to the lighting and then see it light up!!! I absolutely love making memories with my two boys! After the lighting we took Aidan over to see Santa up close and get a pic. He would have nothing to do with it! Nothing!!! It is the worst picture ever and will not be posted on this blog! :) What a wonderful evening!
