Thanksgiving Weekend 2010

Every year we spend Thankgiving weekend in the mountains with Andy's family. We went up on Thanksgiving morning and stayed until Sunday. The weather had been pretty warm leading up to that weekend, but of course, it got really cold while we were there. Thanksgiving day was nice and we were able to spend quite a bit of time outside, so Aidan got to run around and expend some energy :). Saturday was Andy's birthday and the day we chose to get our tree. It was still 28 degrees at 12 that afternoon, so we had a cold time picking it out and getting it loaded up. We go to the same place every year, and things work like clockwork so it went pretty fast. Surprisingly enough, I am not one of these people who has to see every single tree and then pick the perfect one (Andy is quite thankful for that!). I usually just pick a small area to search in, and then pick the one that is perfect for us. This is probably a direct result of the freezing temps!!!! Santa happened to be across the street when we were leaving, so we stopped by to let Aidan see him. He would have no part of it!!!! He did wave proudly to him as we drove by though! Then said the sweetest thing "Mama, I am sorry I didn't go see Santa." Really??!!!?!?!? Make your mother feel bad! :) Sunday we came home and finished decorating the house and put the tree up. We normally try to do as much decorating as possible the weekend before Thanksgiving, so the only thing left to do when we come home is the real tree. Works out, but that is quite a long time to have your house decorated for Christmas!!!
