Christmas Day

We are always home on Christmas morning, but go to my aunt's for lunch. This year Aidan went to bed pretty excited that it was going to be Christmas the next day. We made cookies for Santa and put out reindeer food for the reindeer. We were all set! When Aidan woke up, we reminded him it was Christmas and told him we had to go downstairs to see what Santa brought. He took one look out the window, and said, "It's not Christmas, where's the snow?" :) He was happy when he came downstairs, but really put a whole lot of thought into the whole thing. It seemed he was having a little trouble believing that Santa brought him those toys! He got over it quickly, and started having a good time. Again, it was hard to get him to open his gifts from us once he had one thing to play with. Some of his absolute favorites this year were the Special Agent Oso Whirly Bird, Criss Cross Matchbox Track Set, and his remote control monster truck. All we have heard for months is that he wanted a monster truck! Watching him use the remote and trying not to hit the furniture, etc is quite entertaining!
Even with all of the excitement of presents and visits, he still knew the real meaning of Christmas. He was very proud to tell you it was Jesus' birthday! :)
