Lake Benson Outdoor Movie

Outdoor movies were shown several times in our area over the summer, but we always had something else going on and just couldn't make it.  I was always pretty disappointed because I knew we would all enjoy it.  The final movie of the summer at Lake Benson was the Lorax.  It was on a Friday night, but we were NOT going to miss it!  :)  Aidan loves that movie, and we really liked it too.  We stopped by Subway on the way to pick up supper for our picnic, and then found a good spot and waited for the movie to get started.  We took cards, so me and Aidan played slap jack!  One of his new favorites.  After a few games of that (he had held out long enough), he played Angry Birds on my phone.  Amazing how skilled kids are these days at those sorts of things!

The cutest part of the whole night was when the movie started and the girl whose voice was done by Taylor Swift came on.  Aidan literally gasped and said "She's beautiful!"  It was priceless.  He was even more interested when he found out it was Taylor Swift!  She is definitely his crush!

Bugs weren't bad and movie was a good length, so we had a really good time!  Will definitely try to squeeze in more of these next summer.  Did I mention it was free?  :)
