Harvest Festival



Aidan always looks forward to going to our Harvest Festival every year.  He counts down the days and gets really into it once he sees them start getting everything set up.  This year since we had planned a long weekend at the OBX, we had to go on Wednesday night after work.  Andy's mom and dad went with us and Nana and PopPop met us there.  Aidan had a good time riding the same rides he rides every year, :), and he played the balloon pop game.  He is actually really good at this one and usually gets at least 2 out of 3 popped.  He really likes this one for some reason.  He takes after his Dada and really enjoys funnel cake too, so he just had to have one.  Funnel cake with powdered sugar, nothing else.  

 This is probably Aidan's favorite "ride".  It is just a fun house for the kids to go through.  Kind of like a maze with different things they have to do.

 I rode the ferris wheel with Aidan, and the guys are always really nice and let me or dada ride for "free".  Free is always good.  :)  This ended up turning into the ride that wouldn't end!  We honestly didn't think we were ever going to get off, and it was actually starting to get a little old!  Finally made it off, and moved on to something else.

 This is a nightmare of a ride.  It is a mini kids roller coaster and for some reason Andy and I just can't handle it.  We both got suckered into it last year, and vowed not to do it again!  Last year they actually had issues with it being overloaded, so fortunately for us, they said no parents this year!  Yea!  Aidan had to ride by himself which made me extremely  nervous, but Andy assured me he couldn't fall out!  As it turns out, without having a cushy parent to fall up against, it wasn't nearly as fun!  It got old to him pretty fast, and when it was over he said he didn't like it and didn't want to ride on it again.  Sounding more and more like mama and dada everyday.  :)

We didn't stick around too terribly long because we had to get home to get ready for the OBX trip.  We were excited but so glad we were still able to make it to the Harvest Festival too!
