Memorial Weekend

We went to Andy's mom and dad's over Memorial Weekend and decided to take Aidan to a fish farm, so he could actually catch a fish. We had not had any luck doing it the "real" way. :) There was a hill of dirt right behind the pond we were fishing in, and honestly, Aidan was much more interested in that than anything. It was quite strange to walk up to the pond, and there were so many fish in there you could have literally reached in and picked one up. Not quite as easy as that, but we did get several.

On the hill of dirt

Moved to the "big" pond and Aidan is helping get the hook out

Big fish one

Big fish 2

We ended up with about 14lbs of fish, so you know what we had for supper!

That night we took Aidan to see his first movie, and it was a drive in. We had no idea what Hoodwinked was, but knew it was a kid movie so we gave it a shot. It was a double feature. First movie started at 9 and the second at 10:30. No way we could stay awake that long much less Aidan, but quite a few little kids did stick around for the second one too. I think we are getting "old"! :)

Aidan with his huge bucket of popcorn. Yes, we ate the whole thing!

The next day we had a cookout at the lake

Andy and his dad

Aidan completely fascinated by the water fountain. If there is water, that is all he is interested in!

Aidan with his 3-D glasses on. He went around to everyone to diagnose what was going on in their heads! ??? The things they come up with! Too cute!

Granny's turn

Mer has turned it around on him, and is inspecting his head

Grandpa's turn

Took him fishing afterwards

He is growing too fast for me!

At the park. Granny got this one figured out

Mer's turn

Watching Aidan play. A very "interesting" type of playground.
