Aidan at Fort Macon
"Ferry" we took to Cape Lookout
Waiting to get on the boat. I was extremely paranoid about Aidan running up and down this dock waiting to go. I just knew he was going to fall right into the water. We will both be taking swim lessons next spring! :)
At Cape Lookout. First time we have ever been over there. I was very excited. Only stayed a couple hours which really wasn't long enough, but we still enjoyed it.
Swinging at the playground at the condo.
Helping Dada fish
Flying his Toy Story kite
Sunset over near the port
Fish Andy caught on the pier one morning while me and Aidan slept in!
More beach time
We cooked out or ate in the courtyard several nights. The weather was wonderful! Aidan and I were able to run around and play while Dada cooked. We ate the toughest steaks we have ever had on this night. They were horribly tough and we were trying to eat with plastic forks and dull knives! I am sure anyone who saw what was going on, got a really good laugh!
Playing at Kmart. We had to stop there to buy a watergun like the other boys in the pool had. They were actually pretty cool because it was more like a water tube than an actual gun. Aidan loved playing with it in the pool the next day. I didn't take any pics at the pool because I didn't want to risk getting my camera wet but Aidan loved being in there. He wanted to go down the water slide so he and Dada went down without a tube the first time and it didn't work out so well. Aidan ended up going under the water when they came down, but was fine. He eventually agreed to do it again, so the second time they went down on a tube. It was a bigger disaster than the first attempt and again Aidan ended up going under the water. He was not happy about it, and firmly said he would not be doing that again! :) He will change his mind when he gets older!
He wasn't too interested at first, but was happy. Of course, I was freaking out inside because he thought leaning over the rail was a good idea. I cannot even imagine how deep the water is over there with those huge barges coming through. Uugh, we have got to learn to swim! That should help calm my nerves at least a tad.
Looking down at the fish they are bringing in. Aidan is quite excited! Nothing like feeling the fish on the other end of the line.
The happy fisherman!
Walking around Beaufort. See, I was there! I am just usually on the other side of the camera! Looking for a place to eat lunch.
Should have zoomed in on this expression. Not sure what this was about, but his face was cute! He was quite sassy on this day, so there is no telling what he had just said or was getting ready to say!
At the Maritime Museum. Went to see the new Blackbead exhibit.
My precious little boy! So happy to be his mommy!
He liked this little guy at one of the shops. It kept him entertained briefly while I looked around.
At the aquarium. Otter always gets to go!
About the only good shot we got of the otters. That exhibit, as always, was packed! All the kids love the otters.
Running around at the courtyard. Aidan and this little girl enjoyed playing together that night.
Walking on the beach in the evening. Aidan was "honking" dada's nose the entire time and laughing the whole way!
One of my favorites!
My favorite. :)
Playing putt putt. He has gotten pretty good at it. Still working on holding the club correctly, but he did great!
After putt putt, we went inside to let Aidan play at the arcade. He had been wanting to do this for so long! Of course, you end up only earning enough tickets for junk, but it makes good memories!
He finally got to ride a motorcycle!
At lunch. He was breaking down, and only Umi Zoomi on the ipod ensured he would make it through the whole thing without a full meltdown.
It took an extremely long time to get our food, and we were not happy about it! A thunderstorm rolled in while we were waiting, so it all worked out. It was gone by the time we were finished, and the food ended up being really good as well.
