St. Patrick's Day

Aidan's school did not do a party for St. Patrick's Day, but they did have a special snack, and the teacher's did a great job making the day interesting. Apparently during the night a leprochaun came in and tried to steal all of their snacks. He left green footprints all over the tables, walls, floor, etc. Aidan thought that was pretty cool! He also got a shamrock headband that he wore proudly! He kept telling me to get the camera when he put it on!

After we got home, we baked shamrock sugar cookies. It was very messy, but we had a great time! Some of the cookies were almost completely green with sprinkles and others got slighted when we ran out of sprinkles. Yes, we pretty much used an entire bottle of sprinkles on one batch of cookies! I thought I would never stop finding green sprinkles. They were everywhere! When we were first getting started, Aidan thought my cup of flour was sugar and decided he would eat a spoonful! He found out very quickly that it was NOT sugar! I felt bad for him because it took him a while to get it all out, but it was funny at the same time. One of those things you will remind your child of forever!
