Pig Pickin' 2009

We had our "annual" pig pickin' on May 30th. Aidan had a great time because he got to spend the whole day outside. He LOVES being outside! A tantrum is almost guaranteed to happen if you bring him in before he is ready. Bribing him with juice works just about everytime!

He had a good time playing with the ice in the cooler, running around the yard, and playing with the older kids. He wasn't sure what to think when he saw Emily in his car though! Too cute! We haven't learned much about sharing toys yet!

Because of all of the action going on Aidan missed his nap, and was up all day until around 10:00. He was absolutely exhausted, and didn't get up until after 8 the next morning. Then he took a 4 hour nap on Sunday afternoon!!!! Poor little fella!

One thing that really makes me happy is seeing how happy Aidan is when he is home. He is happy pretty much all the time, but you can tell he knows what home is and he loves it. When he was a lot younger I worried about whether he would really know what home is (he is gone for at least 12 hours a day, asleep for at least 10.5 hours, so not many waking hours at home during the week), so that is why this means so much to me. He is completely comfortable and knows everything is his. :) He was a little intimidated by all of the people being around that day, but yet was comfortable because he was at his home.

Here are a couple of slideshows of the pics from that day. Hopefully, I will be able to post pics of Aidan's second race track visit soon!
