Getting Ready for Easter

We did a few "Easter" related things in the week or so before Easter weekend.  Aidan hung the eggs on the tree.  Notice how many are on there.  Within two days, I noticed there were only about 3-4 eggs on the tree.  ???  Went over to check it out, and a few were laying on the ground with peck-marks on the top.  So either a bird or a squirrel put holes in almost all of our eggs, left a few on the ground, and took the rest with them.  I have never had that happen before.  Really weird!  So we had an egg tree with only 3 eggs for a while.  

 We made peep cupcakes for Aidan's class.  He loved doing these because he got to put a toothpick in their bottoms!  He had the biggest time and laughed so hard putting these together.  They turned out really cute!

 He was really excited about coloring eggs, but didn't want to cooperate for the camera at all!!!!  He knows how to make the ugliest faces just to tease me when I want a good pic!

 I don't have pics but we had to have a gazillion eggs hunts after we finished the eggs!  He had so much fun!

One of Aidan's favorite games is called Funny Bunny.  Everyone has bunnies on the "board" and the object is to be the first one to get your bunny to the carrot without falling into a hole.  It is really fun and funny when someone's bunny falls in the hole.  Andy had the idea for a "Funny Bunny" cake for Aidan for Easter.  Aidan loved it!!!!  We used a reese's pieces carrot for the center.
