Aidan's class does something really cool this year. Everyone gets a day to be star student. They have to do a poster all about themselves, they bring a special snack from home, and they get to take a special toy. They also get to take Brown Bear home with them for the weekend! His class is called the Brown Bears, so they have a mascot called Brown Bear. Aidan was really excited when it was his turn. The first two pics are copied from an email, so they are hard to see but the first one is Aidan with his poster. He had a lot of fun coloring it and writing in everything about himself.

While Brown Bear is home with them for the weekend, they have to write about their adventures and Mrs. Jane reads it to the class on Monday. A few of our "adventures":I have the pics posted backwards! On Sunday we went to church, but Aidan wanted Brown Bear to wait in the truck! We went to Five Guys for lunch (one of Aidan's favorites!). He and Brown Bear loved sharing peanuts while waiting for our food!
Since Aidan ate such a good lunch and was so good that morning, he got a special treat for dessert....Krispy Kreme! I think this might have been the start of my steady decline towards eating junk! :) Aidan always likes to wear the little paper hat, and he looks so cute!
We needed a few things from Lowe's so that was our next stop on the way home. Aidan always gets to ride the lawn mowers if he is good while we shop (this bribery usually works like a charm!). Brown Bear seemed to enjoy it too!
It was really nice outside that day, so when we got home they were able to go outside to play. It is a wonder that bear isn't completely filthy! He smelled pretty fresh and didn't look bad, so I am sure he is bathed on a regular basis!
These were on Saturday. We had a lazy day and stayed at home all day (wonderful!!!! because those are few and far between!). Brown Bear was introduced to the world of Thomas!
Aidan really enjoyed his day! His special snack was Thomas themed of course! Thomas cupcakes with Thomas plates, cups and napkins. Since his birthday is in the summer, he doesn't get to have a party at school, so this was a great way to have his own special day!
