Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Aidan went back to the pumpkin patch this year with his class for his fall field trip. He always enjoys it, but enjoyed it even more this year because he has become so much more social than in the past. I took the day off work, so I could spend the whole day with him and we had a great time!
A lot of the kids climbed up on this trailer to play and Aidan got right up there in the middle of it. I was shocked!!!! In a good way! The little girl with her back to the camera is Eden. She is in Aidan's class and he absolutely loves her! If you ask him who his best friend is, he always says Eden.
He saw some of the kids playing with this scarecrow and he immediately joined in. They would shake him and then scream like he was after them! ?? :)
Here is Aidan and Nicholas (the one most involved with the scarecrow!).
Getting loaded up for the hay ride.
There was a "cemetary" set up and some of the kids were just drawn to it. Aidan included. He had no idea what it was supposed to be or what it would be for, but he thought it cute to mess with the headstones.
Feeding the goats. This is always one of his favorite things. He never hesitates at all, he just walks right up and would feed them all day if you let him! I was a little afraid after this because he immediately tried to put his hand to his mouth!!!!!! Fortunately one of the moms was prepared with hand sanitizer (can't say the same for myself!).
Going for a walk through the millet maze. I was surprised at how tall it was, and that even an adult could have gotten lost in there. You could see places where it was laid down where someone had cheated and created their own escape route! We followed the crowd and trusted that they knew where they were going!
Picking out his pumpkin. This was actually a real pumpkin patch even though some of the pumpkins were "planted". The first pumpkin Aidan picked up had someone's name written on the bottom! :)
Nana spent the day with us, so it was an extra special day for Aidan!
Me and my precious little boy!
Back on the hayride going back to the barn.
After going around on the farm, the kids got to go back to the barn to have a snack and learn about what farm life was like a long time ago. Aidan didn't do the best job paying attention, he thought it much more interesting to run around and play with Mrs. Keitha (one of his teachers)!!
One more climb on the trailer!
After the field trip we met PopPop at Wilbur's for lunch. This is one of Aidan's absolute favorite places to eat! He can eat a dozen hushpuppies by himself! After lunch we went to the fabric place to get everything I needed to make curtains for the "new" kitchen. They are used to tired and bored little kids.........they had a play area set up so the kids would be entertained while the mom's shopped! I think they know this will result in a larger sale for them! Pretty smart!
We all had a really good day!
