School and Picnics

Preschool has started again. This is Aidan's third year and he is now in the 4 year old class. He has adjusted very quickly and is doing really well. I think the first two years were really good for him, and he is really starting to open up socially. Social interaction with other kids was our biggest concern. He will now initiate play instead of just standing to the side and watching everyone else. Yea! He loves his teachers and asks everyday if he can go to school. He could start kindergarten next year, but I think we are going to send him to preschool one more year. Three mornings a week this year, and then five mornings next. Maybe that will give me enough time to prepare for the big day! :)

Getting ready to go to school:

One Saturday evening we were in Raleigh, so we went to CharGrill for supper. It got crowded before we got our food, so we decided to take our stuff to State for a picnic. The weather was perfect and it brought back a lot of good memories. Aidan enjoyed it which is good, we are trying to lead him down the right path early! :)

Eating his cheese sandwich

We have done lots of picnics this summer/fall. Another favorite is having picnics at the park close to our house. It is super convenient and Aidan loves it. We get pizza, hot dogs, or take sandwiches from home. As long as Aidan eats good, he gets to play on the playground.

Toasted cheese and popcorn!

Playing kick ball with a soccer ball. It was a lot of fun!
