Aidan being as happy as he could be helping Nana blow out the candles (he was not this happy for his own birthday!):
We had Aidan's party at home on Saturday. We always plan far in advance for the theme of the party, and hope he doesn't change his mind before his birthday arrives. I guess we didn't talk enough about his birthday, because when he woke up and we told him "Today is your birthday party!!" he said "Already?" We decorated in Little Einstein's stuff and had a low key day until everyone came over. We wanted everything to be simple so we could spend lots of time with Aidan, so we just picked up Smithfield's for supper rather than cooking. Aidan didn't mind one bit! Hushpuppies!!!

Aidan getting ready to blow out the candles. He was not excited at all, which meant I was really disappointed! He took a nap earlier in the afternoon and was just out of sorts when he woke up. Andy and I finished the cake while he was asleep, and I just knew he would be excited when he saw it. Nope, he wanted to be a little difficult!
We didn't get the supports completely right for the cake, so we had to move fast before the weight got the best of it!
Leigh Anne started singing a silly song to him, and he finally started loosening up a little bit!
He was quite excited about the pinata!
