State Fair and Fall Mountains Trip!

We have gotten a little behind lately on our posts! We took Aidan to the fair for the first time last weekend. He really wasn't interested in it very much, but he did enjoy riding around in his stroller. Mer and Ashley came down to go with us, and we had a great time. Ashley helped Aidan at the Field of Dreams (I think that is what it was called). They gathered sweet potatoes, apples, strawberries, and blueberries and then sold them at the Farmer's Market. They were able to use the money they earned to buy a bag of goodies at the store. Here are a few of the pics:

This past weekend we went to the moutains to visit Andy's mom and dad. The weather was pretty messy on Friday and Saturday, but we were able to take Aidan to the park and the lake on Thursday before the rain moved in. He played on the swing, and the slide. It was the first time he had played on a slide and he absolutely loved it! I was a little hesitant to let go of him at first, but after a little convincing from Andy, I let go and let Aidan slide on his own. His whole face would light up with excitement! Since it was nap time when we were doing all of this, I think he did pretty well!

Friday we went to Boone and let Aidan ride around in his stroller at the mall. This is one of his favorite things! He loves to look around and take in everything. He loves people and doesn't understand if someone walks by and doesn't speak to him! We ate at an Italian restaurant that was pretty good, but Aidan apparently didn't think so! He would only eat the bread!

We had problems with him getting his arms and legs stuck in between the crib rails on Thursday night, so we went to Walmart to get him a bumper. Then we went back home to take a nice long nap before going to Mark and Martha's that night for supper.

Aidan doesn't get to play with other kids his age very often, so I love it when he is able to play with Mackie. He enjoys playing with Creston too even though he is a couple of years older. I can't believe he is already almost 4! Time flies! The three of them played for a couple of hours and had a ball! Aidan got to eat one of his favorite foods, pizza! And he got to open his birthday gift! Trucks, a fireman's hat, a football..... Lots of cool things! I took a ton of pictures of the three of them playing, and it was hard to decide which ones to include in the slideshow. I thought these were the best. Martha has some posted on her blog too.

Also, in case you didn't notice in the pictures we officially have a walker! Well, actually he is trying to speed things up a little bit now, but we'll just say he is walking. He started about 6 weeks or so ago, and has gotten more and more confident every day. Now he doesn't even think about it, and he relies and crawling a lot less often. It is a little strange to see our little baby walking around the house, but it is very exciting at the same time! Aidan is lots and lots of fun!
