Babyproofing?????

Aidan loves to explore and loves to figure out how things work. He has always been more interested in turning his toys upside down to see what makes them light up or sing than he is in actually using them for their intended purpose. And, of course, he would much rather play with normal everyday things around the house than any toy you can buy! He loves toilet paper! Here he is (with Dada's help) rolling off the entire roll:

Last week I was trying to get some laundry done, and thought Aidan would be happy to stay with me and help. He wasn't! A sign of things to come? :) I kept chasing after him, and then got the brilliant idea to make a "wall" of toys so he would stay with me. Very smart little boy:

Why did I not expect that my 12 month old would be smarter than me? He simply crawled through the activity center to get where he wanted to be! I need to start getting down on his level before coming up with these ideas!

And finally there is the oatmeal story. Aidan loves playing in the kitchen, especially in the pantry. He found the can of oatmeal, opened it, and starting eating it! It was all over him and the floor, and I don't think he really cared for the texture!
