Thomas Weekend Part II

We stayed at Andy's parents for the rest of the Thomas weekend. On Saturday, we got up early and took Aidan to McDonald's for breakfast, and then to Grandfather to see more otters. We were quite disappointed with Grandfather because we didn't really get to see many of the animals. Aidan did get to see the otter which was the most important thing! After visiting with the animals he got to go to the gift shop to pick something out. Of course, we bought an adorable stuffed "onner"! I should have taken his picture, but I will have to get one later. He is very soft and so cute! Aidan loves him and he is now part of his pack..........Onner, 2 Drakes, Pup, Weeny, and Gloworm. There are tons of others that he sleeps with, but these are the ones we can't leave home without! We all got a nap in that afternoon and went to the lake to cook out for supper. It was a short notice picnic so only Mack and Dorothy were able to come out, but we were so glad to see them. Dorothy gave Aidan "pig food" for his piggy bank, and he was so excited to be able to make that deposit when he got home! :) After supper Andy and Aidan fished a little bit. No fish or bites, but they both had a good time. Aidan has become a pro at throwing the line out, and we are both amazed. He can do it without letting go of the pole! I was nervous at first because I thought he was going to fall in the water or the pole was going to go flying in! He and Dada practice in the yard when we get home at night, so he will be even more ready for the next trip! We came home early on Sunday and were able to relax a little before having to start another work week. Looking forward to another long weekend together soon!
