Easter Bunny

We took Aidan to see the Easter Bunny today during my lunch. The thought that he may be afraid did not occur to me until I was almost there. Of course, then I was a little worried about how things would go. While we waited in line Aidan smiled and waved to him, so I was at least hoping that was a good sign!

When I put Aidan on his (actually it was a her) lap, he immediately climbed down. Not because he was afraid, he just thought he would take advantage of the opportunity to run around! I picked him up and put him back on his lap, and he really started realizing how soft the Easter Bunny was! He was rubbing his hands and arms like he couldn't believe that this stuffed animal was this big and moved! He knew he was having his picture taken so he put on a big smile, and the lady was able to catch it. Unfortunately, she was quite obviously an amateur and the flash washed the picture out and it wasn't centered!!!! Aidan looks great though!

After getting his picture taken, I picked Aidan up to leave, and he reaches with both arms back to the Easter Bunny!!!!! What?!?!?!? What child actually likes the Easter Bunny???? It was cute, but it made me wonder, does Aidan prefer the Easter Bunny over his mommy??? I am just glad it was a smooth experience, and didn't lead to meltdown!
